GUTTER Cleaning
Debris left in gutters prevents the water from draining properly. During winter months, ice builds and swells causing damage to the roof until water backs up under the edge of the roof. Often, the drains become so heavy with ice that they pull loose from the side of the building and sag. In the summer months, plugged drains can cause water to run over the edge of the gutter making the gutter completely ineffective. When the gutters overflow, the water can cause serious flood damage, such as flowing into window wells, flooding the basement, and causing erosion around the building.
Cleaning Process
All of the debris from gutters will be removed and hauled away. Once we have finished clearing the debris away, the gutters and downspouts will be flushed with water to ensure they are flowing properly. We will always clean up patios, sidewalks and porches after cleaning gutters.
Pricing
Cost is based on the number of linear feet, but we also have to take into account the kind of roof a building has. If the pitch is too steep to safely walk on or has the type of roofing material that does not allow us to walk on it, there may be additional fees. When Is The Best Time To Clean My Gutters?
The best time to have your gutters cleaned is in the fall, as soon as the leaves drop, and that time can vary in different parts of North Idaho. Certain trees drop debris that may require gutter cleaning twice a year. In North Idaho, we have the type of trees which drop debris and clog gutters throughout the year. If gutters are not cleaned in the fall they should be done as soon as the ice thaws in the spring to prevent any damage.
